With Merlin version 1.3.11, we release a minor maintenance update of our popular project management software.

With our latest update we present a popular feature request from our users: The import of OmniOutliner 3 files.

We present our new update to Merlin, with one major new feature!

What's new in version 1.3.9?

• Merlin is now offered in the Universal version and therefore can run on Macintosh computers with native Intel processors.

Punctually to the Macworld we release a further update for our project management software.

What's new in version 1.3.8?

• When Direct from iLink (www.ilink.de) has been installed, the primary telephone numbers of a resource can be dialed.
• File elements can be optionally linked or be copied into the project files.
• File elements can be defined as "Private". On the project website it will only display the existence of the file but no download possibility will be offered.

Merlin version 1.3.7 is packed with new features.

Merlin's project website has been optimised. It is now possible to select the period of days you would like to to see the contents of displayed on the website. All milestones contained in the project can optionally be displayed on the project website. Furthermore, the amounts for task work and duration can now also be viewed on the project website.

The Gantt chart also receives further modifications. Labels can now be placed on the right or the left of the bars of a Group.

Beside the usual application maintenance we have added some new and interesting features to this version of Merlin:

What's new in Merlin 1.3.6?

• New function in the time calculation. The activities can be optimised in their duration by a switch. Learn more here.
• The date specification on the project website is now supplemented with the time.
• The project website now uses the date format set in the system preferences.
• The totals in the duration column can now be viewed in hours.
• Besides the current unit, the Gantt view can also display a timeline.

In the latest version the warning threshold of the resource overload can be modified in the settings. Additionally the file rights for the project website do not have to be manually changed. Furthermore the import and export from MS Project files has been optimised.

Naturally we have also made the standard maintenance work on this version too. Here are the details to the modifications:

We have just released a further update for Merlin, that includes the adjustment of smaller issues and also a new function that contains the automatic linking of activities. For this only the respective activity has to be selected. The rest is done by the command "Chain Activities in the menu "Action".

The modifications in detail:

With the release of version 1.3.3 we have repaired certain problems caused during the import from MS Project files. Furthermore we have also repaired two further unpleasant issues.

With the current version we have repaired two minor but rather irritating issues of the pre-version.

• [fix] An issue that did not calculate the lump-sum resource costs has been repaired.
• [fix] An issue that did not save the information in the text field has been repaired.
• [fix] Localisation corrections have been made.
