Got a new Mac and want to bring Merlin Project and your subscription along? The path differs depending on whether you got the app through the App Store or our website. This short step-by-step guide takes you safely to an installed and activated app on your new device.
You purchased a new Mac? You want to load Merlin Project and your subscription on another Mac?
Depending on your purchasing channel and the billing provider, you had Merlin Project either from the App Store or our website.
So to use Merlin Project and your subscription, just download the app again on that Mac.
For the App Store version
- Use the App Store on your Mac, iPad or iPhone
- Sign in if you’re not signed with the account of your running subscription
- Click your name and check your purchased apps
- Download Merlin Project by clicking the cloud symbol.
If your macOS version isn't anymore supported by the current version of our app, the App Store will offer you the last compatible version.
For the website version
- Download the app from our website.
- If necessary, unzip the downloaded archive.
- Move the app to the Applications folder.
- Activate Merlin Project with your license code, or by entering the Manage Existing Subscription dialogue.
If you had tested our app from the App Store but chosen to start a subscription over our billing partner Paddle, to avoid confusion in the future, you might want to hide the app listing from your purchased apps. To do so, use the Hide Purchase feature of the App Store.
