Collaboration is essential in project management. Merlin supports PMs in their every day work in that it allows collaboration to their projects over 3 kinds of interfaces. Once a project has been shared with either Merlin for Mac OS X or Merlin Server, it may be accessed by other Merlin for Mac OS X applications (acting as clients), supported web browsers or iOS devices.
How does this work?
The short answer is: “easily“. For the longer answer please read here (more…)

Merlin iPhone is such a great option for mobile project managers. Share your projects with Merlin for Mac OS X and the optional iPhone sharing service or use a Merlin Server in which iPhone share is build-in. As long as you have a connection to the mobile data net or WLAN hotspot, with Merlin iPhone you can access your project from anywhere.
It all sounds great to you but how does it work? Easy and straight forwards (as always in Merlin).
Check screenshots of the app in the product page, watch accompanied screencasts illustrating the functionality, read the Merlin iPhone QuickStart Guide, or test it for your own.

Wherefrom to download it? Merlin iPhone app is available in iTunes Store as free download.
Not always online? That’s fine with Merlin iPhone. You can view your project offline, and will need an online connection only when making changes and populating the new state of your project.
What about iPad or the new iOS 4? Merlin iPhone runs on iPhone 4 and on iPhone devices with iOS 4 just as well. Our developers are already working on an adjusted version to look better on the iPad or the new iPhone 4, so stay tuned.
How do I setup my router? Just proceed as explained in our blog post ‘using Merlin’s web module‘. Web and iPhone sharing are both using the same port and our configuration suggestions apply for iPhone sharing too.

Merlin was recommended to us as alternative to MS Project on the mac. From what we see on your webpage, we like it very much. Can we purchase the web sharing option and use only your web based solution?
Please note that web sharing is a complementary option for your Merlin application. This means you need to purchase also a Merlin license and install it along with your web sharing license:
If you license your Merlin for Mac OS X appropriately you can than create your projects in the Mac OS X application and share them for web access.
Let the Merlin application running and having the project open as long as want to have it accessible. Even if you decide to work with your project solely over the web browser, don’t quit Merlin or let the mac fall into standby mode.

Good news for our Merlin users in the United States!
Due to the better U.S. Dollar rate against Euro (our base currency) we can now adjust the prices in our Merlin online shop starting from the 2nd of April, 2010 as follows:

If you are publishing Merlin projects from a computer that has a dynamically generated IP address, this can cause problems for your users already having received the project URLs and use in the meanwhile obsolete IPs to access the projects. This situation easily occurs, as the IP address of your router changes upon re-connecting to your internet provider.
In this case the actual project URLs will fall out of sync with the URL and IP address that Merlin has originally published. Fortunately, there is a solution readily at hand thanks to the free service provided by DynDNS.org that allows you to create a static host name that can be used instead.

Good news for our Merlin users in the United Kingdom!
Happily the last year’s turbulence in the exchange rate of the British Pound to Euro (our base currency) seam to have come into an end, and we can now adjust the prices in our Merlin online shop starting from the 1st of February, 2010 as follows:
