How do I use Merlin iPhone?

You will need an additional Merlin iPhone-Sharing license or Merlin Server, which you can purchase over our online shop. Simply publish a project in Merlin or Merlin Server and connect to it with Merlin iPhone. Merlin iPhone app is free and can be found in the iTunes app Store

Publishing a project for Merlin iPhone.

• In Merlin with the Merlin iPhone-Sharing license enabled
• In the Merlin Server: Enable the iPhone publishing in the iPhone tab of Merlin Server and start the server.

Accessing the Merlin 'server'

• Via Bonjour: Once you start the Merlin app on your iPhone, you can tap the button in the upper righthand corner to open the server panel. The server panel displays all servers in your WiFi detected automatically via Bonjour or other servers you have added in a previous session.
• By its URL address:
  • Send the URL of your Merlin which is publishing the project, to your iPhone
  • Send the URL of your Merlin Server to your iPhone: Simply drag and drop the displayed URL in the iPhone tab of the Merlin Server preference pane onto an empty email message and sent this email to your iPhone

Which license to I need for the iPad?

You can use the same license for the iPhone sharing as well for other devices. Supported are currently the iPhone, the iPad and the iPod touch.

I have an iPhone and an iPad. Do I need two licenses?

No. You can use multiple devices just with one license - but only one after the other. You do not need additional iPhone sharing licenses.
