adoc Studio

adoc Studio 1.0 is Here!

We are pleased to announce the release of adoc Studio 1.0, the first full version of our AsciiDoc writing environment. A big thank you goes to everyone who supported us during the beta phase. Your intensive testing contributed significantly to optimizing adoc Studio in record time.

What is adoc Studio?

adoc Studio is an integrated writing environment for Mac and iPad. It is like an IDE that supports you in writing technical documentation in the best possible way. We use the markup language AsciiDoc, which is easy to learn and at the same time very powerful. Our software allows you to organize, write and export texts. You can find more information about adoc Studio in our blog post on the launch of the public beta.

Test adoc Studio

Download adoc Studio now from Apple App Store and test the app for 14 days free of charge and without obligation.

Subscribe to adoc Studio

If you like adoc Studio, you can take out a subscription for $14.99 per user per month or $149.99 per user per year via in-app purchase. In both cases, you will receive both the macOS and iOS versions in a bundle.

Feature Suggestions and Support

Version 1.0 is by no means the end of our journey. We are therefore always happy to receive feature suggestions on our current Development Roadmap or discuss them with us in the Forum.

Stay tuned and have fun with adoc Studio 1.0!

Merlin Project now also supports Noteplan

Noteplan

At the latest with version 3, Noteplan has become a serious representative of Markdown-based note-taking apps.

With the flexibility of Markdown - which lets you quickly write text and create tasks - the app also offers some options for recording and organizing tasks. Add tags and mentions very easily, speeding up your workflow with natural language typing and auto-completion of tags, mentions, and links.

The reason I got in touch was due to numerous requests from Merlin Project customers who also use Noteplan for further documentation: They were looking for an easy way to hand over their data.

That's how I met the owner and main protagonist this year; Eduard Metzger lives and works in Panama, so he enjoys not only the good weather there, but also an excellent infrastructure. As a result, he always makes a very relaxed impression in our conversations.

Thanks to our AppleScript interface we were able to realize a simple data transfer. A free sample script can be downloaded here.

Summer reading tip for Project Managers

books

Summertime and a summer leave offers professionals much-deserved time to think and grow. It's when many of you have the breathing room to reflect on your work methodes. You can now catch up with all that you've set aside for "when I have time" and it is available to you in the internet, blogs, books or other resources.

As a PM, if you start to plan your professional learning for the summer, take a look at this recommended reading list we have assembled for you. For the talented in leaning languages among you, we include book tips in English and German that cover a wide range of Project Management topics. But we have to admit, some books work just as well in winter time.

Our special summer reading tip?

A casual sentence of a supervisor leads to a project that should be planned, documented, and realized in time without exceeding the budget. A difficult task, no doubt, but a clever project manager knows how to help himself. With the right tools he can make the project planning easier, reduce risks and ensure the success of the project.

This book illustrates how this all works smoothly and easily with Merlin Project.
