Merlin Project: How to add a URL to activities?

You use Merlin Project to schedule your projects? Then you already know how to create custom columns and attach notes to activities and/or add attachments.

But can you add a URL as an active internet link?
Yes! And here is how…

Merlin Project offers various ways to add a URL to activities:

URLs in notes:

• Select the activity.
• Open Inspector: Notes.
• Add a URL by typing or via Drag & Drop.
• Select the inserted text.
• On the highlighted text perform a secondary click.
• Select ,Make Link'.

URLs in custom columns:

• Add a new column within the outline.
• Choose your own custom title, for example ,URL text column'.
• Select your activity row.
• Within this row click the cell from your custom column to activate text editing.
• Add a URL by typing or via Drag & Drop.
• Select the inserted text.
• On the highlighted text perform a secondary click.
• Select ,Make Link'.

URLs in attachments:

• Perform a secondary click on your activity row.
• From the context-menu choose ,Insert > Attachment > Information'.
• Within the detail view ,Attachments' select the attachment.
• Use the Inspector ,Information' to insert a title for the URL.
• Add a URL using the field ,URL' by typing or via Drag & Drop in the inspector.

Note:

Would you like the URLs to show up in the ,Attachments' view? Simply add the ,URL' column to that view.
