Merlin Project: How to add a URL to activities?
You use Merlin Project to schedule your projects? Then you already know how to create custom columns and attach notes to activities and/or add attachments.
But can you add a URL as an active internet link?
Yes! And here is how…
Merlin Project offers various ways to add a URL to activities:
URLs in notes:
- Select the activity.
- Open Inspector: Notes.
- Add a URL by typing or via Drag & Drop.
- Select the inserted text.
- On the highlighted text perform a secondary click.
- Select ,Make Link'.
URLs in custom columns:
- Add a new column within the outline.
- Choose your own custom title, for example ,URL text column'.
- Select your activity row.
- Within this row click the cell from your custom column to activate text editing.
- Add a URL by typing or via Drag & Drop.
- Select the inserted text.
- On the highlighted text perform a secondary click.
- Select ,Make Link'.
URLs in attachments:
- Perform a secondary click on your activity row.
- From the context-menu choose ,Insert > Attachment > Information'.
- Within the detail view ,Attachments' select the attachment.
- Use the Inspector ,Information' to insert a title for the URL.
- Add a URL using the field ,URL' by typing or via Drag & Drop in the inspector.
Note:
Would you like the URLs to show up in the ,Attachments' view? Simply add the ,URL' column to that view.
