Merlin Project 4.1.0 Supports the Touch Bar
We have just released the version 4.1.0 and with this version we are supporting the Touch Bar of the new MacBook Pro. But of course the maintenance of
- Merlin Project,
- Merlin Server and
- Merlin Project Go
is also part of this update. Download the new macOS versions by means of the function "Check for updates …". The iOS version is still at Apple for review and after approval will automatically be available in the App Store.
License
A frequently asked question in support refers to a not licensed Merlin because of too many instances running at the same time.
There is a special case for you as a user of Merlin 2. For a new Mac, e. g. with macOS Sierra, you have decided to upgrade to Merlin Project.
If you nevertheless, like to use Merlin 2 on your old Mac, this is possible. But there can only concurrently be one: Merlin Project 4 or Merlin 2. The programs can only be opened one after the other and not at the same time.

It all began on November 9, 2004 with a tool for internal project planning. New features in project management software, which competitors often liked to incorporate in their own products, were introduced right from the first version. Merlin 2 Is Not Compatible with macOS 10.12 Sierra

While Merlin 2 has supported all operating systems since OS X 10.4 (Tiger), this support comes to an end with the upcoming release of macOS 10.12 (Sierra). Apple has made so many changes to its OS over the past decade that it is no longer economically viable for us to maintain Merlin 2. The release of the fantastic new version of macOS 10.12 is a great chance to upgrade to Merlin 2’s successor. Merlin Project runs perfectly on the new operating system.
We recommend all Merlin 2 users to upgrade to the new version now.
