Work Package
A work package is the smallest self-contained unit in the work breakdown structure. It groups a manageable amount of work that can be assigned to a responsible person, estimated and controlled.
Work packages form the bridge between the rough breakdown of a project and the individual activities. Depending on the size of the project, a work package can be subdivided further into individual tasks. A clean definition of the interfaces ensures that the packages do not overlap in content.
