Our YouTube channel has a new format and a new name: “Der Kritische Pfad”, German for “The Critical Path”. It shows how to connect AI to your project plan, using a real plan in Merlin Project. Two playlists are live at launch.
The video for the channel
The video (in German) is embedded in the German version of this article.
What it is about
What you need to know about your project is usually already in your plan: which task drives the end date, who has too much on their plate and when, what belongs in the status report. The channel shows how an AI pulls these answers straight from your project plan through the MCP server, from the first task to the lessons learned. Every video answers one question live on a real plan and also shows when an answer needs a second look.
For now, the videos are published in German only. Every video comes with an article you can read in six languages.
Playlist 1: Basics
Six videos explain what an AI can do with your project through the Merlin Project MCP server: why a PDF export falls short, what MCP is, which questions the AI answers, what happens to your data, five questions for your plan, and a prompt basics course.
Each article adds a tool to try out: a comparison of PDF export and MCP, a client finder, a question finder, a privacy check with a checklist as PDF, sample AI answers, and a prompt builder. Start with the article “Why your AI does not really know your project”.
Playlist 2: Setup in 5 Minutes
Seven screencasts, none longer than four minutes, show how to connect Merlin Project to Claude Desktop, LM Studio, Claude Code, Codex, or Antigravity, and why ChatGPT needs a detour. The last video helps you pick the right client.
The articles contain every config block and command to copy, a checklist, and the first prompt for your plan. If you do not have a client yet, start with the decision helper.
Everything in one place
The prompts from the videos are collected in the prompt library. Videos, articles, and downloads are bundled on the Der Kritische Pfad page. The sample projects from the videos are in the downloads. New videos appear on youtube.com/@DerKritischePfad.
