Resource Utilization

Resource utilization describes the ratio between the assigned work of a resource and its available capacity. If utilization exceeds 100 percent, the resource is overloaded and cannot complete the planned work within the scheduled time.

A utilization overview shows which person or piece of equipment is being used how heavily and at what time. This makes it possible to spot bottlenecks early and resolve them through resource leveling. The basis for the calculation is the working hours from the resource calendar.
