Dummy Activity

A dummy activity is an activity with zero duration and no resources in an activity-on-arrow (AoA) network diagram. It only shows a logical dependency between activities, for example when two parallel activities would otherwise share the same start and end event. Network diagrams draw it as a dashed arrow. The term does not refer to a placeholder for missing information.
