Percentage Complete
The percentage complete indicates, as a percentage, how far an activity has already progressed. 0 percent means that work has not yet started, 100 percent that it is fully done.
The percentage complete is the central measure of progress tracking. The values of the individual activities add up to the progress of entire phases and of the overall project. It feeds directly into the plan-actual comparison and into earned value analysis, which is why it should always be kept current as of the latest status date.
