Master Project

A master project is a higher-level project that bundles several subprojects and presents them together. This makes it possible to plan, schedule and evaluate dependent or thematically related undertakings through a single structure.

The master project is a core tool of multi-project management. It reveals cross-project dependencies and makes the shared use of resources visible, for example through a shared resource pool. This way, the project manager keeps an overview without having to open each subproject individually.
