Let Me Introduce: The New App Phone Memos
In a meeting, an employee had his phone forwarded to a colleague. After the meeting, this colleague complained that he was interrupted in his work for every phone call and had to write an e-mail with the necessary information.
Thus the idea of the telephone memo was born.
What happened then is the reason why I still love working at ProjectWizards after well over 15 years!
Within 10 days, the idea was turned into an app, which of course was developed exclusively for iOS, i.e. the iPhone and iPad.
The process was highly dynamic, so as not to always harp on the word Agile:
- The idea is illuminated from all sides, and we also took a look at the old WYWO (working from 2002 to about 2006).
- Some concepts and mockups were created and after extensive discussion a program flow chart in BigHairyGoal was found to be good.
- The source code was written in Swift.
- The App-Icon was designed in Affinity Designer.
- The translations were prepared with Deepl and checked and corrected by native speakers. Here the community of Merlin Project users helped us a lot.
- After the obligatory test we created the new app in the App Store.
- The app is submitted and is released for sale right away.
- At the same time, a website for Phone Memos in our CMS was quickly created.
