What Particularly Caught Our Eye

The Internet, endless expanses. We are on a permanent knowledge journey and always discover new things, but also old things anew. In our focus are topics around management - especially of projects, Apple and its hardware as well as software, but also special like software development or software distribution. We choose websites very subjectively and mostly in the context of our mission.

• Germany is the strongest national brand
  We are especially pleased by this because Merlin Project is "Made in Germany".

• PowerPC 750 controls the Mars rover
  iMac chip from 1998 is used for Mars exploration: PowerPC G3 controls rover "Perseverance"

• Google Finance
  Google Finance has a new design

• Standardization of AsciiDoc
  The AsciiDoc forum at Eclipse is picking up speed.

• Google abolishes cookie tracking
  Google describes the way to a more privacy-friendly web.

En tant que fondateur de Prefix, Philippe Lauper offre à ses clients de l’accompagnement et de la formation en gestion de projet. Il organise et modère également des ateliers de développement d’équipe.

Philippe Lauper a 20 ans d’expérience en gestion de projet dans les milieux industriels, administratifs et académiques, mais également dans des manifestations sportives et culturelles. Plus particulièrement, il a eu l’opportunité d’être le chef de projet de l’aventure Solar Impulse, l’avion qui a réussi un tour du monde propulsé à l’énergie solaire.

Merlin Project 7.2.2 Is Released

We have just released the version 7.2.2. This free update is important for Merlin Project.

• Update your Mac versions in Merlin Project for free with "Check for updates…".
• The version for the iPad and iPhone will be released after review in the App Store automatically.

We have also updated Merlin Project Express. The new versions will be provided in the Mac App Store or at SetApp – right after its review.

Merlin Project: Resources in Day and Night Shift

You use Merlin Project to plan your projects? Then you already know how to set the Project Calendar in Merlin Project.

In case you don't - You'll find the Project Calendar in the Project Settings.
New documents come with following pre-defined calendars: Standard, Night Shift, 24 hours. By default the Standard calendar is selected as project calendar. So the tasks of your project will be scheduled within 8 hours distributed 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm Mondays to Fridays.

If your project should be accomplished completely by night work, simply select the Night Shift calendar in the Project Settings.

But how should you proceed when some of your resources are able to work 8 hours during the day and some others 8 hours at night?
