What Can I Learn From The Book "App Store Confidential""?

App Store Confidential

Immediately after the publication of the book App Store Confidential by Tom Sadowski, Apple gave the book a big boost by filing dissuasions. Reason enough for me to order the book and read it almost in one go. After all, I am also represented in the store with Merlin Project. And if there is a possibility to learn something in the App Store business, I am always there.

I was particularly interested in the chapter "How do I get featured?". Just because we have never seen Apple promote us with Merlin Project before. Probably project management software is not sexy enough. By the way, this is a fate that many app vendors share with us, while individual vendors are permanent guests in the recommendation lists. But I digress.

Merlin Project 6.1 Is Released

News about Merlin Project

We have just released version 6.1. This version is not only a maintenance update, but also brings you new features on the Mac and iPad.

Merlin Project on the Mac

Exported files can now be shared directly from the export dialog via e-mail, messages, AirDrop etc. The menu item "File > Send as e-mail..." is therefore no longer necessary and has been removed.

The HTML export has been significantly enhanced in some places: All web resources such as images, CSS files and JavaScripts can now be embedded in the generated HTML files. Likewise, multiple views can now be exported to a single file. And last but not least, an exported file can be given its own header.

Of course version 6.1 has also received a number of quality improvements.

Merlin Project on the iPad

Version 6.1 allows the export of project contents. You can now export your projects in the following formats: Image, Text (CSV), formatted text, MS Project, Free Mind, Mind Manager, HTML, OPML and XML.

In addition, there have been minor adjustments for light and dark mode on the iPad. The Inspector can now be displayed with a light background, just like on the Mac.

The iOS version has also received a number of quality improvements.
