macOS Hints: Export Calendars in ICS Format

Since the first version of macOS, Apple's own calendar program has been built in. Calendar offers many useful functions for your appointments.

With the following steps you can export any calendar as an ICS file:

1. Select a calendar from the Calendar.app sidebar.
2. click on "File" in the menu and then on "Export > Export".
3. Save the calendar under a name and location on your Mac.

This saves an ICS file. You can use this ICS file in Merlin Project or for distribution.

Hint

Many calendars in ICS format also exist on the Internet, for example for holidays.
